Last Saturday, the Lakeland Competitive Cheer Team earned its highest overall score of the year during a large competition at Sterling Heights Stevenson, the defending Division I state champions.

Lakeland had scores of 211.6, 181.06 and 296 in its three rounds for a total of 688.66, best this year. The Eagles finished 3rd overall in their division and the team finished first in the all-important third round. The 688.66 was also the team's highest score in two years.

The team will compete this Saturday at the Grand Blanc Invitational.
