Yesterday, the Girls Golf team competed in the 8th Annual Hartland Invite, an 18-hole tournament held at Hartland Glen. The Eagles had a successful day on the course as each golfer carded a personal best for 18 holes.
Lakeland had 5 golfers compete, and the top 4 scores were used to tabulate a final team score of 427, good for 21st place in a extremely competitive pool of teams.
Junior Bryn Dubin fired an 84 for the round to earn Team Medalist honors. Senior Kate Norek carded a 112, sophomore Gretchen Ullrich posted a 113, and junior Kathryn Tooman finished with a 118. Sophomore Abby Deloney, playing in her first high school golf event ever, shot 134 for the round.
The team, having competed on the first three days of the season already, has more golf in its near future, including the Lakes Valley Conference Pre-Season Tournament.
