Today, the program had several players compete in an 18-hole tournament at Huron Meadows. The 4-player score for the event was 474. Final standings were not available for this article.
Among the 4 players who posted scores, 3 of them were competing in their first high school event. Sophomore (first-year player) Mackenzie Kotsonas, led the way with a 102 to earn Medalist honors for the day. Freshman Ashlyn Dostal posted a 110, and freshman Claire Getzen finished with a 129. Junior Lauren Sullivan added a 133 to complete the scoring for the Eagles. Sophomore Katie Guile also took the course.
It's an exciting start for the season to have 4 first-year players (3 today and 1 yesterday) get some valuable 18-hole experience early on in their high school careers.
