Girls Varsity Cross Country finishes 19th at State Meet; Ava Alicandro earns All-State honors

Yesterday, the Girls Cross Country team competed in the MHSAA State Finals. In a race filled with some exceptional teams, the Eagles finished 19th out of 28 schools.
Junior Ava Alicandro paced the Eagles by finishing 26th out all runners (19th among runners in the team competition) in a time of 18:36.3. As a top-30 finisher, Ava earned All-State honors. Following Ava across the finish line were Alena Tiernan, Maya Pletzer, Morgan Scally, Mackenzie Hendry, Natalie Joiner, and Genevieve Connolly.
It was truly an epic season for the team...highlights include a Regional Championship, an LVC Dual Meet Championship, and a 2nd place Oakland County finish.
