Saturday, the Girls Varsity Cross Country team raced in a loaded field at the Jackson Invitational, placing 7th out of 29 teams. The teams in the race included 10 of the top 21 ranked Division 1 schools in Michigan. Ava Alicandro became the 3rd fastest Lakeland runner ever in a time of 18:28.
Almost everyone on the team ran a personal best time.
