Girls Varsity Cross Country finishes 4th at LVC Championship race; Ava Alicandro earns All-Conference honors

The Girls Cross Country team competed in the LVC Championship race last Thursday.
Ava Alicandro became All-Conference (7th) and Lakeland's All-Time 6th fastest sophomore in a time of 19:24 for 3.1 miles.
Ava Walsh missed All-Conference by just one place in 19th. Other great finishes were Mia McDonald (23rd), Natalie Joiner (26th), Alena Tiernan (27th), Trinity Mann (38th), and Mackenzie Hendry (40th).
The girls finished 4th out of nine schools, narrowly missing 3rd. They avenged a previous dual meet loss to Walled Lake Western in the process.
