The girls cross country team exceeded the expected 24th place they were supposed to run and finished 17th out the 27 top teams at the State Championship Meet on Saturday, November 3rd. 

The team skillfully navigated the muddy course running their best times of the year. Senior Madeline Rehm saved the best for last, running to a 4th place finish out of 236 runners and in the process lowered her school record time to 18 minutes flat. This is her 3rd all state finish.

Junior Rylee Lukes had her best race time ever as did junior Lauren Garbovits. Sophomores Annabelle Mowers and Aria Novello closely followed to round out the top 5 for Lakeland..
