Saturday, the Lakeland Girls Cross-Country team placed 8th out of 18 teams at the Holly Invite.  The Eagles, competing in Division I (the highest of 5 Divisions), battled through 90 degree temperatures.  Senior Madeline Rehm placed 1st overall, and was voted the Top Female Runner/Athlete for the entire meet.

Besides Rehm's 1st place finish, Lakeland had the following results:  junior Rylee Lukes 13th, junior Lauren Garbovits 34th, junior Emily Broman 77th, and sophomore Aria Novello 94th.  Rehm, Lukes, and Garbovits all earned medals for their efforts.

The girls travel to Jackson this Saturday for their next meet.
