Friday, February 21st, the Girls Varsity Basketball team defeated Marian, 48-38.  

The story of the night was junior Aubrin Miller's career-high scoring effort.  Miller poured in 35 points, including four 3-pointers and a 13/14 performance from the free throw line.  Her effort certainly was among the top-5 individual game results in the history of the program.

All in all, the win was the result of great focus and execution on both ends of the court.  Marian took the court with two post players over 6 feet tall, towering over the Eagles' defensive assignments; however, exceptional effort by everyone in the game minimized the effective of the Mustangs' twin towers.

Anna Linen added 4 points, while Alena Tiernan and Claire Linen both scored 3 points.  

The Eagles improve to 15-5 on the season (11-2 in the LVC and tied for first place).  They return to action on Monday with a game at Hartland.
