Friday, January 17th, the Girls Varsity Basketball team traveled to Milford for another classic rivalry match-up. Like many others before it, the game was a low-scoring, defensive affair, one that the Eagles won, 28-18.
Senior Alena Tiernan led Lakeland with 9 points. Aubrin Miller added 6 points incl. 4-4 free throw shooting in the final minutes. Brynn Taliercio contributed 5 points, while Claire Linen chipped in 3 points.
The Eagles move to 7-3 on the season, 5-1 in the LVC. After 4 tough games on the road, Lakeland returns home this Tuesday with a game against Walled Lake Western.
