Friday, December 6th, the Girls Varsity Basketball team moved to 2-0 on the season with a 42-6 win over Walled Lake Central. The visiting team struggled on offense all night, and the Eagles' defensive pressure and fundamentals were the main reason.
Aubrin Miller scored 14 pts. for Lakeland, followed by Peyton Baer with 12 pts. Haley Aberlich, Kennedy Canterbury, and Alena Tiernan each added 3 pts. Sophomore Morgan Dial scored her first varsity points, knocking down a 3-pointer on her way to 4 pts.
The JV team also defeated Walled Lake Central, moving to 2-0 on the season.
Both teams hit the road next Tuesday for a competitive match-up with Birmingham Seaholm.
