Friday night, the Girls Varsity Basketball team moved to 11-3 on the season with a convincing 56-16 win over Walled Lake Central.  Besides the big win, the Eagles celebrated Senior Night, recognizing the contributions of the following student-athletes:  Maddie Borders, Skylar Halbrook, Molly Marino, and Parker Ostach.

Lakeland started off slow, and after the Vikings hit a buzzer-beating 3-pointer to end the first quarter, the Eagles found themselves trailing, 12-7.  But, Lakeland held Walled Lake Central scoreless for the next 15 minutes of the game while putting up 30+ points in a row of its own.  In total, the Eagles outscored the Vikings 49-4 over the final three quarters of action.

Ostach led nine players in the scorebook with 13 points. Peyton Baer added 9 points, while Maddie Borders, Aubrin Miller, Brynn Taliercio, and Alena Tiernan each added 6 points.

Lakeland has two home games this week:  Tuesday versus Waterford Mott and Friday versus Milford.
