Last night, the Girls Varsity Basketball team went on the road to South Lyon East last night and came home with a gritty, tough win, 36-31.
The team was extremely focused on the defensive end, led by the efforts of junior Brynn Taliercio. The Eagles had great execution on the offensive end late in the game to pull out the win. Senior Parker Ostach led with/13 pts. Junior Brynn Taliercio scored 10 pts. Senior Skylar Halbrook had 4 pts. Senior Molly Marino & junior Alena Tiernan had 3 each.
The win moves Lakeland to 7-1 (3-0 LVC) on the year. Next up: a game at Milford this Friday as part of the Varsity Showcase series. Girls will play at 5:30.
