Friday night, the Girls Varsity Basketball team went on the road and picked up their first win of the season, beating Walled Lake Central 52-17.
The Eagles had a sluggish first half on the offensive end of the floor as they took a 16-10 lead into halftime. The third quarter was a different story as the Eagles turned up the defensive pressure. Defense turned into offense as the Eagles outscored the Vikings 27-3 in the third quarter. Leading the way for the Eagles was sophomore Aubrin Miller with 13 points. Senior Molly Marino and sophomore Peyton Baer each had 10 points. Senior Parker Ostach scored 8 points and junior Brynn Taliercio chipped in 5 points in the win.
The win pushes the Eagles record to 1-1 (1-0 LVC) as they get ready for their home opener this Wednesday vs. St. Catherines of Wixom. Go Eagles!
