Thursday, in the first game of back-2-back playing days, the Girls Varsity Basketball traveled to play the hot Saint Catherine of Siena Academy team, one that was on a 17-game winning streak. Although the visiting Eagles jumped out to an early lead, the home team found a way to keep its winning ways going, defeating Lakeland 60-52.
It was a high scoring, high energy game featuring runs from both teams, but St. Catherine had the last run of the night to pull away in the end. Leading the way was Parker Ostach with 15 points. Aubrin Miller and Skylar Halbrook had 10 points each and Molly Marino had 8 points.
The Eagles return to the court tonight for a road game at Walled Lake Western.
