ST. MARY'S PREPARATORY SCHOOL: 46
On Monday night, the Lakeland Girls Varsity Basketball team hosted OLSM in a non-conference home game and came away with a thrilling 53-46 win in OT.
The Eagles jumped up to an early 14-5 lead but hit a major scoring drought as OLSM came back and held a 26-14 lead at the half. Behind some great team defense, spearheaded by Brynn Taliercio, and some clutch three-pointers down the stretch, the Eagles stormed back in the 4th quarter to force OT and eventually came away with the win.
Leading the offensive charge on the night was Molly Marino who scored a career high 19 points, including 4 three-pointers. Parker Ostach had 13 points, Aubrin Miller had 10 points, Alena Tiernan had 6 points, and Maddie Borders chipped in 4 points on the night. Fantastic win for the Eagles as we head into holiday break with a 5-2 (3-1 LVC) record. Go Eagles!
