Friday night, the Girls Varsity Basketball team claimed a District Championship, defeating Walled Lake Northern 52-34 in the finals.
Leading the way for the Eagles was Mati Sardi with 16 pts, Jenna Baer & Grace Goodnough with 11 pts each, Ashlyn Dostal with 7 pts, & Molly Libby with 5 pts.
Monday, the team competed in the MHSAA Regionals, taking on the #1 team in the state, Hartland. Playing with a makeshift roster, Lakeland fell to the undefeated Hartland team, 69-31.
Junior Molly Libby led with 25 points, freshman Molly Marino had 4 points, and sophomore Harjas Chahil had 2.
The Eagles finish the season 11-7 along with a district championship.
