Friday afternoon, the Girls Varsity Basketball team defeated a gritty Saint Catherine of Siena Academy team, 48-45. The game had momentum shifts throughout, and the Eagles found the resolve to tough out a challenging win.

The fourth quarter was back and forth, with both teams making big shots and important defensive stops.  A three-pointer by Jenna Baer with less than a minute left, and some timely free throw shooting and offensive boards helped Lakeland scratch it out at the end.

Molly Libby led the way with 14 points, Payton Grange had 9 points, Grace Goodnough had 8 points, Summer Ambler with 7 points and Mati Sardi chipped in 6 points. Record is now 6-4 (4-1 LVC).

We are back in action on Monday vs Waterford Mott.
