Friday night, the Girls Varsity Basketball team lost 41-24 to a very good SLE squad.
The Eagles competed tough throughout but just didn’t get enough shots to fall tonight. At halftime, Lakeland trailed 11-5, keeping the usually high-scoring Cougars well below their usual scoring average. After narrowing the score to 11-10 early in the 3rd quarter, Lakeland finally saw SLE hit its offensive stride.
Leading scorer for the Eagles was senior Ashley Bojanowski with a career high 8 points. Molly Libby had 5 points and Summer Ambler had 4 points.
