The Varsity team faced an experienced team in Troy Athens on Friday and fell behind early due to a first half shooting slump. The Eagles were down 21-10 at the half but were able to pull within 6 points with 4 minutes left in the game but Athens made some clutch plays to close out the game. Troy Athens won by a score of 43-28. Leading the way for the Eagles were junior Nevaeh Garcia with 7 points, sophomore Grace Goodnough with 6, sophomore Summer Ambler had 5, and sophomore Molly Libby scored 4 points. 

The loss drops the Eagles record to 1-2 (0-1 LVC) in the early part of their season. The ladies are back in action Tuesday as they host Waterford Mott in their final game before holiday break.
