Girls Varsity Basketball opens up LVC play with a 47-30 road loss to South Lyon East

This past Thursday, the Girls Varsity Basketball team opened up LVC play at South Lyon East.
The Varsity team played tough, gritty, and scrappy but also lost their conference opener, 47-30. However, this game was much closer than the final score would indicate as the Lady Eagles were up 2 at the half. Lakeland was led by Freshmen Molly Libby and Grace Goodnough who scored 9 points each in the loss. Senior Deanna Carlson also chipped in 4 points.
The Lady Eagles will take some time off for the holidays but are back in action January 8th at home vs Clarkston.
