Last Saturday, the Girls Varsity Basketball team defeated Hazel Park by a score of 55-27, claiming its first win of the season.  It also marked the first victory for Coach Mike Leitheim as the new varsity coach.

The game was played as part of the inaugural LVC-OAA Challenge, and the Eagles' win helped the LVC claim this year's trophy as it won 5 of the 9 games played between schools in the Lakes Valley Conference and the Oakland Activities Association.

Freshman Molly Libby led the offensive show with 15 points.  Summer Ambler, also a freshman, contributed 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 steals.  Junior Josey Bruce added 9 points.
