Last night, the Varsity Girls Basketball team traveled to Northville to take on an athletic Mustang team.  The home team had too many weapons, defeating the Eagles, 59-23.

Lakeland competed hard in the first quarter, trailing 13-7 after the first 8 minutes.  However, Northville went on a quick scoring run to open the second quarter, building a 35-12 halftime lead.

Sophomore guard Nevaeh Garcia paced the Eagles with 10 points.  Junior Josey Bruce and freshman Summer Ambler both finished with 4 points.

Lakeland will next play this Saturday as part of the LVC-OAA challenge.  The Eagles will take on Hazel Park in the opening game at 11:00am in a game that will be played at Walled Lake Northern.
