Last Friday, the Varsity Girls Basketball team lost its home opener to West Bloomfield, 46-21.
The Eagles played a solid first half, trailing at halftime 22-15. But Lakeland struggled to score in the 2nd half, finding the hoop for only 6 points while the Lakers added 24 points.
Sophomore Jenna Baer led the scoring for Lakeland with 7 points. Freshmen Summer Ambler (5 points) and Grace Goodnough (4 points) were the next highest scorers for Lakeland.
