Thursday, the Boys Freshman Basketball team looked to improve upon its earlier match-up with Milford, and the Eagles did do that.  Yet, Lakeland fell short, losing to Milford, 36-25.

The team fell in an early 7-0 hole that was made even worse as Wes Tobias went down with an injury early in the game. However, the Eagles gathered themselves, narrowing Milford’s lead to 18-15 at halftime.  The 3rd quarter was ugly or beautiful, depending on if you like defense, as the team’s both just point up 5 points.  In the 4th quarter, Milford hit two momentum-building three-pointers to swing the balance of the game.

Dylan Perinoff and Jacob Sorvari led Lakeland with 8 points each. London Johns contributed 5 points.  

The team returns to action with a home game this Tuesday at 4pm versus South Lyon.
