Last Wednesday, the JV Football team seized the opportunity of getting the helmets and pads on, defeating Walled Lake Northern in its season-opening game, 13-6.

After several weeks of uncertainty regarding whether or not there would even be a season, the Eagles dominated the game on defense, with turnovers leading directly to both Lakeland scores. Sophomore Zeke Riedel returned a fumble for a TD, and freshman Brayden Bayes returned an interception for a TD. Sophomore Braxton Godin added the extra point on the second touchdown.

The Eagles return to action on Thursday as they head out on the road again for a match-up with South Lyon East.
