On January 4^th, the Lakeland varsity wrestling team competed in a 4 team dual match event at Waterford Kettering HS. 

In the opening match Lakeland beat South Lyon East 43-34 winning 8 of 14 matches. 
In the second match Lakeland lost to Waterford Kettering 57-17.  Lakeland won 4 matches.

132 lbs- Mustafa Al-Freeji: 2 wins, pin, major decision
138 lbs- Mark Smith: 2 wins, pin, major decision
144 lbs- Seth Zimmerman: 1 win, major decision
157 lbs- Aaron Viera: 1 win, pin
165 lbs- Vince Juhasz: 1 win, decision
175 lbs- Jake Law: 1 win, decision
190 lbs- Everet Ross: 1 win, forfeit
215 lbs- Zach Sutherland: 1 win, pin
285 lbs- David Clayton: 2 wins, both forfeit
 
On Saturday Jan 7^th the Varsity team will wrestle at the West Bloomfield invitational.  The JV wrestlers will compete at the Lake Orion JV invitational.
