On December 14th, the Lakeland wrestling team competed in a 4-team dual match format event at Rochester Adams HS.

In the opening match Lakeland beat Rochester Adams 50-27 winning 9 of 14 matches.
In the second match Lakeland lost to Waterford Kettering 42-39. Each team won 7 matches.

Lakeland is now 3-1 on the season in dual meets.

106 lbs- Jackson Rogers: 2 wins, both forfeit
113 lbs- Gino Donnarumma: 1 win, pin
120 lbs- Sam Broome: 2 wins, major decision, forfeit
132 lbs- Mustafa Al-Freeji: 1 win, pin
138 lbs- Mark Smith: 2 wins, major decision, forfeit
144 lbs- Seth Zimmerman: 2 wins, pin, decision(sv)
157 lbs- Aaron Viera: 1 win, pin
165 lbs- Vince Juhasz: 2 wins, both pin
215 lbs- Zach Sutherland: 1 win, pin
285 lbs- David Clayton: 2 wins, both pin

The JV wrestlers also competed on Dec 14th against opponents from Rochester Adams, Waterford Kettering and Brother Rice.  Jake Beck was among the winners with a pin.

This weekend the Varsity team will wrestle in the Oakland County Championships at Clarkston and Oxford High Schools on Dec 16-17.  The JV will wrestle in a tournament at Clinton HS on Dec 17.
