On Wednesday, January 5th, the Lakeland wrestling team opened the Lakes Valley Conference season by hosting a 4-team event in the Field house. In addition, the program honored its 6 seniors:

Luke Jaworski, Cody Wickings, Lucas Rogers, Dom Oliverio, Bryent Shepherd, and James Clayton.

In the first Varsity match Lakeland defeated Walled Lake Central 66-11. Central only had 5 wrestlers at the event and forfeited 8 weight classes. Lakeland wrestlers won 3 of the 5 competed matches.
