Thursday Sep 19th - Game 11 home vs Walled Lake Northern

The Battle of Bogie Lake was also Senior Night to celebrate the dedication and contributions of the six Seniors: #1 Jay Hensley, #5 Genki Kondo, #8 Brock Vinter, #13 Brady Driscoll, #14 Thomas White, and #22 Easton Toth. The Eagles were hobbled by many injuries and the start of game was evidence of this with a ceremonial kickoff by Easton who would be otherwise unable to play his final home game. After having Easton subbed out, the game got underway and Jay was forced to make several important saves. Midway through the first half, Walled Lake Northern was able to break through and get one goal. But moments later, the Eagles were able to advance the ball up the field to a waiting #10 Game Wright, who took a turn long way from goal and let go a sailing shot that snuck between the visitor goalie's outstretched arm and the crossbar to tie the match at 1-1. The Knights came right back and took over the lead off a corner kick that leaked through to the back post and was punched in to make it 2-1. Northern continued to weave through the Eagles midfield and defense adding a third goal before halftime. In the second half, the Eagles injuries took their toll as the team struggled to connect midfield passes. This didn't stop the effort and there were several long chances, but the game ended 3-1 in favor of Walled Lake Northern.
