On Wednesday 9/27, for the LVC playoffs, the Boys Varsity Soccer team returned to South Lyon East for the second time this year. In their first meeting, the Eagles came away with the 3-2 victory on Aug 31st. Marked by much cooler temperatures, the game was close throughout. But SLE struck first with two early goals. With just a few minutes left in the first half, #7 Vassily Wade scored off a free kick from Arthur White that was too hot to handle for the SLE goalie. At halftime, the scores was 2-1. 

After they resumed play, #18 Arthur White worked his way through the crowded goal area to punch in a goal off the corner kick from Ryan Kientz. Both teams had several chances to take the lead, but it was a late South Lyon East goal that decided the game and it ended at 3-2. 

The boys will return home on October 5th to meet with Waterford Mott again as part of the LVC Playoffs. Their first matchup on 9/2, the match was a draw. The season will close with the final scheduled game on October 8th at Farmington.
