On Tuesday, 9/21, the boys travelled over to Walled Lake Western.  While the rain took a break at the end of the JV game (a 1-0 win), Varsity started warmups in a light rain. The rain continued for the remainder of the night. WLW picked up an early goal just beyond the goalie's dive. A few minutes later, #18 Arthur White blasted a shot from 20 yards out that hit the goalie's gloves but couldn't be stopped, rolling to the back of the net. WLW picked up another well place goal for the 2-1 halftime lead. 

After halftime, Western picked up two straight goals and went up 4-1. But out Eagles kept fighting back. After a foul 40 yards from goal, #18 Arthur White took the restart that bounced off the crossbar, right to the perfectly positioned #7 Vassily Wade who headed into the net. With six minutes left, #12 Adian Staup got to the end line with a crowd of defender and made a clean cross to a wide open #2 Amir Dziljaj to bring the Eagles within one, 4-3. Several more chance in the final minutes were blocked and the game ended at 4-3.
