Last night, the Boys Soccer team opened up MHSAA District play by hosting Howell. It didn't take the Eagles very long to dispatch the Highlanders, as Lakeland won 8-0 with the mercy rule invoked with 33 minutes left in the 2nd half.

After building a 3-0 lead going into halftime, Lakeland took the field with an offensive burst, scoring 5 goals in the first 8 minutes of the second half.

Goal scorers for the night: Kyle Scott (4 goals), Lucas Theaker (2 goals), Jeremy Balzer (1), and Jonah Hogle (1).

Lakeland moves on to host Hartland this Wednesday at 7:00pm
