Tuesday, the Boys Varsity Soccer team played through inclement weather to earn a 4-1 victory over South Lyon.

Lakeland scored first on a header by sophomore Aris Guliana off of a long throw in from Lucas Theaker.  Theaker added a second goal with 10 min to go following up on his own rebound.   Lakeland went into halftime with a 2-0 lead.

 Early in the second half, South Lyon scored on a penalty kick after Lakeland was called for a penalty inside the box.  After a lightning delay, Lakeland came out with a lot more effort and hustle.  Kyle Scott had a break away into the goal box and was taken down from behind, giving Lakeland its own PK with 21 min left in the game.  Scott nailed a perfect shot in the lower right corner of the net, just under the goalie’s outstretched hand puttin Lakeland up 3-1.  Scott scored an additional goal before a second lightning delay eventually led to an early end to the game.

Come cheer on Lakeland in the final game of the regular season Thursday 9/27 at 7pm as they take on Walled Lake Western.  A win on Thursday gives Lakeland its 3rd conference championship in 4 years.
