Monday, the Boys Varsity Soccer team played a non-league game against Clarkston, a 90-minute battle that ended in a 1-1 tie.

Freshman Jonah Hogle put Lakeland on the board first, assisted by Jeremy Balzer, in the 26^th minute with a perfect hard shot along the ground just under the goalie’s out stretched hand into the lower right hand corner of the net.  The half ended with Lakeland on top 1-0 and both teams playing well.

In the second half, Lakeland dominated possession the last 35 min of the game.  All Clarkston managed to do was counter a few times.  With 27 min to go, Clarkston managed to counter and score.  That was the last goal of the game, and it ended in a 1-1 tie.
