Friday, November 1st, the Varsity Football team hosted a MHSAA State Playoff game against Farmington High School. It was a classic "tale of two halves" game, and the visiting team had the better half, as Farmington defeated Lakeland, 39-13.
The Eagles scored first on a long TD run by Carter Travis in the first quarter. In the second quarter, Jake Dobrin scraped a 38-yard kick over the crossbar for a field goal, giving Lakeland a 10-0 lead it would take into halftime.
But, the 2nd half was virtually all Farmington, as the visiting Falcons outscored the Eagles 39-3. Lakeland finished the season with a 6-4 record.
