Boys Varsity Cross Country finishes 3rd at Early Bird Invite; Matt Verellen places 12th to lead the Eagles

Thursday, August 29th, the Boys Cross Country team opened its season competing in the Early Bird Open at Huron Meadows Metropark. The Eagles finished 3rd overall.
With the objective of gaining a good experience, the Eagles’ competitive nature took over and they flew off the start. It resulted in a race of grit and determination. Noteworthy performances were particularly from Jacob Kosidlo, Owen Nelms (earning his varsity letter in his first high school race), and the other freshmen who completed their first high school race.
