Thursday, the Boys Cross Country team continued to impress and maintain its momentum heading into next week's MHSAA Regionals by winning the LVC tournament championship. The team placed 6 guys in the top 18 earning All-Conference Honors. Alex Sullivan finished in 4th place with teammate Jared Platt right on his heels in 5th place. Ty Nagy finished hard to claim 6th place while Wes Hollowell finished in 8th. Pierce Grzymkowski solidified the victory with a 10th place finish. Noah Tiernan lost a shoe early but grinded it out on gravel and acorns for 2.5 miles to claim the last All Conference spot in 18th. Nathan Rehm finished in 19th place just missing All Conference honors. The team finished the meet with 33 points in front of runner up Milford with 52 points.

In the JV race, Hunter Cybulla led for the first 3 miles to lose to fellow Eagle Isaac Tiernan in the last 200 meters giving Lakeland a 1-2 punch. Ryan Ward finished the race strong finishing in 5th place while Tim Person finished in 6th. Jacob Kosidlo also had an impressive race placing him into 8th place.
