Friday, the Boys Varsity Basketball team found itself in yet another game that came down to final second heroics; unfortunately, this time the Eagles were on the losing end, falling to Walled Lake Western, 56-51 in overtime.  

Up three in the final 30 seconds of the game, Lakeland fell victim to another clutch 3-pointer by its opponent, thus forcing overtime.  In OT, WLW was able to grab the early lead, and due in part to some clutch free throws, the visiting team secured the win.

Andrew Turnquist paced Lakeland with 27 points and 18 rebounds.  Nskan Usen had 5 points, 8 assists, and 7 rebounds, while Owen Mladenoff added 7 points.  

Lakeland is now 7-5 overall, 5-2 (2nd place) in the LVC.  The Eagles host first place South Lyon East on Tuesday.
