Tuesday, the Boys Varsity Basketball team jumped out early to a lead and didn’t look back in a 72 - 55 win at South Lyon.
Lakeland was lead by Austin Boughton’s 19 points, Caleb Zurek contributed 18 points and 8 rebounds, David Jabiro 12 points, 7 assists and 4 steals, and Lucas Theaker rounded out the balanced scoring attack with 10. Max Beagan filled the stat sheet with 7 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals off the bench.
With the win, Lakeland moves into second place in the division at 9-5 and 8-2 in the LVC. South Lyon was led by Quinn Fraccasi’s 12 points and Joe Carano with 11. South Lyon falls to 9-4 and 7-2 in the LVC.
