Trent Farquhar and Madeline Rehm named as 2019 MHSAA Scholar-Athlete finalists

The Lakeland Athletic Department is proud to announce that two senior student-athletes have been named as finalists for the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) 2019 Scholar-Athlete Award: Trent Farquhar and Madeline Rehm.

Farquhar is a 2-sport athlete who has been a strong contributor to both the Basketball and Baseball programs during his high school career. Farquhar has earned a scholarship to play baseball at Bowling Green State University.

Rehm is a 2-sport athlete (Cross-Country and Track) who has established herself as one to the most accomplished runners in Lakeland history. Rehm has earned a scholarship to run at Wake Forest University.

Lakeland had a number of other athletes who were nominated for this recognition:
Deanna Carlson, Malina Gallmeyer, Ava Gizoni, Morgan Graham, Kara Kulis, Katie White, Blake Jackson, Michael Stibal, and Marv Zurek.
