Grzymkowski and Rehm each win their races at MITCA Team Trials

This past weekend, two senior cross-country runners proudly represented Lakeland at the Michigan Interscholastic Track Coaches Association (MITCA) Team Trials event, an opportunity for senior athletes to earn a chance to represent Michigan in a competition against runners from other Midwestern states.

Harrison Grzymkowski and Madeline Rehm not only earned spots on the the team, they both WON their races.

Rehm, who recently finished 4th overall at the MHSAA State Finals, broke 18 minutes in very cold weather, crossing the line in 17:57.5 minutes.

Grzymkowski, who last week finished 3rd overall for the 3rd consecutive year at the State Finals, crossed the line in 15:27.2 minutes, edging out fellow Huron Valley runner Evan White (Milford).
