Tuesday, May 6th, the Boys Varsity Volleyball team met at Walled Lake Central to celebrate Senior Night with the entire Lakes Valley Conference. There were eleven senior Eagles acknowledged in the ceremony. (Derek Varga, Gabe Scott, Eli Yen, Jacob Valenton, Harrison Vivier, Tanmay Singh, Tyler Buback, Dylan Darby, Braden Epley, Dennis Rozhko, Fisher Demarest) It was a time to appreciate the boys for what they have brought to the program, along with an opportunity to send well wishes for future endeavors.
The Eagles faced both Waterford high schools for this evening's matches. First up, the Kettering Captains tried for some revenge from numerous meetings this season. The Eagles stayed strong and finished the match in 2 sets (25-13 and 25-19). Next, Waterford Mott was on the docket for only the second time this season. Lakeland remained undefeated in conference play, winning in two sets (25-15 and 25-15). The Lakeland Boys will finish their regular season on Wednesday (5/14) against Walled Lake Western and Walled Lake Northern at Geisler Middle School. Victories will give the Eagles an undefeated conference record and the conference trophy!
