The Hartland United Figure Skating team finished their regular season on a high note!  The three levels within the team all skated strong and placed in the top 3 after 3 district comps.

The A team started out with strong jumps skated by Emma Vermillion (South Lyon East), and Caitlyn Curley (Lakeland IA). The Jumps team came in 3^rd place.  The next event was Moves which consisted of Mikaela Jewell (Hartland), Paige Bolton (South Lyon), Erin Scheske (Milford), and Norah Dell (Lakeland) whom all equally contributed to the team placing 3rd.  The last event for the A team was Spins and they finished on a very strong note by placing 1^st and securing their chance at going to the State championships in March.  The Spins team was Caitlyn Curley (Lakeland IA), Alicia Dell (Lakeland), and Abby Hrobsky (Lakeland).  Collectively the team placed 2^nd overall and will be attending States in March.

The B team had a very successful competition which led them to winning Districts and heading to States in March!  The B Team placed 2^nd in Jumps with Lilly Palacios (Brighton) doing two of the jumps for the team, also skating was Sami Tilt (South Lyon East), and Mikaela Jewell (Hartland).  The next event was Moves in which the team placed 2^nd.  The skaters contributing to the 2^nd place was Evie Lantis (Brighton), Hannah Riley Jeannette (Lakeland), Emilia Djruic (Brighton) and Madison Christianson (South Lyon East).  Finally, the Spins team consisted of Jessica Lask (Hartland), Mikaela Jewell (Hartland), Ella Germann (Brighton), and Dakota Pillera (Milford).  All the competitions the skaters did the hardest elements they were allowed to and performed them with grace.  The overall placement showed the hard work all of them had this season!

The C team had great skates throughout the season and performed very well this final district competition.  In Jumps the skaters were Emily Simmons (South Lyon East), and Lexi Blasko (Milford) and after 4 jump elements they placed 3^rd.    The skaters competing in the next event was Mayson Pierzynski (Hartland), and Emily Simmons (South Lyon East) who placed 4th in Moves.  In Spins the team placed 3^rd and the following skaters contributed great skates; Victoria McLaughlin (Lakeland), Lexi Blasko (Milford), and Emily Simmons (South Lyon East).  The team placed 3^rd overall just missing a states invitation.  But their hard work for the season didn’t go unnoticed and the coaches are very proud of them!

We also honored the 5 seniors at the competition.  Paige Bolton, Erin Scheske, Abby Hrobsky, Hannah Riley Jeannette, and Jessica Lask.  The team will really miss them, and we wish them the best!

The State Championships is being held at Kensington Valley Ice House on March 26^th and 27^th 2022.
