Huron Valley United Gymnastics team defeats West Bloomfield and Waterford United

The Huron Valley United Gymnastics team had a tri-meet with two LVC teams (Waterford United and West Bloomfield) on Saturday. The HVU team came out victorious with a team score of 132.95. West Bloomfield scored a 110.35 and Waterford United 108.15.
The seniors led the way with Ava Barwikowski from Lakeland scoring season highs on vault 9.15 and floor with 9.2. Elena Hale from LHS scored a 8.75 on both vault and floor and Megan Sclabassi from Milford scored an 8.6 on vault and 8.725 on floor. Lakeland senior Ella Wright had qualifying scores on all four events including an 8.25 on vault. Many of our gymnasts scored qualifying scores on all events which are needed to qualify for the regional meet that LHS will host the first weekend in March.Next up is a tri meet with Tecumseh and Cass City on Jan. 16th
