The Huron Valley United Gymnastics team won its first LVC meet of the year against Walled Lake Central/Western and Walled Lake Northern. HVU scored a 136.825, next closest was WL Central/ Western with a 125.2 and Northern with a 119.4. They started on vault with many high 8's: IA senior Maeve Spicer with a 8.95 followed by Milford senior, Erika Yates. Maeve continued her good day on bars with a 8.95. She also had our highest beam score with an 8.35. Floor was a good event too. Erika scored a career and season high 9.275 followed by Maeve with a 9.225. Lakeland juniors Ava Barwikowski and Elena Hale scored 8.975 and 8.9.
The team travels to Fraser on Monday and take on Linden/Fenton/ Lake Fenton next Friday!
