Saturday, the Huron Valley United Gymnastics team had an outstanding meet at the Walled Lake Invite, placing 2nd with a score of 139.375!
In the D1 division Lakeland senior Rachel Palaian and IA sophomore Maeve Spicer took 4th and 2nd in the all-around winning many other medals as well. Maeve took first on bars with a 9.175, the highest bar score of the meet. Lakeland freshman Annie Bolling also placed 9th on bars.
In the D2 category we had 3 girls place in the all-around: Lakeland freshman Ava Barwikowski took 3rd, Milford junior Laura Nowicki took 5th, and Lakeland sophomore Halie Martin took 7th. Those three also medaled in other events. Lakeland junior Nicole Graham took 1st in vault with an 8.85, IA sophomore Allison Thomson took 9th on bars, Lakeland freshman Jessica Holzer took 5th on beam, and Milford junior Morgan Hester took 5th on floor with a 9.175.
