Wednesday evening, the Lakeland Girls' Swim & Dive team hosted Fenton HS and Hartland HS to open its season. Despite strong performances in several events, the Lady Eagles fell to both visiting teams, 195 - 116 (Fenton) and 184 - 121 (Hartland).
Top performers for Lakeland include Paxton Moore (2nd - 200 Free, 1st - 500 Free), Stella Fairbanks (1st - Diving), and Emily Dexter (1st - 100 Free, 3rd - 200 Free). In addition, Peyton Michalski and Jordyn Sienkiewicz joined Moore and Dexter to finish second in the 4 x 50 Freestyle Relay, while Kayla Pletzer joined Moore, Sienkiewicz, and Michalski to take third in the 4 x 100 Freestyle Relay.
The Lady Eagles will travel to Fenton HS next Saturday for the Tiger Relays before opening their conference schedule at Walled Lake Northern the following Tuesday.
