Girls Varsity Golf claims 1st LVC Championship

On Monday, September 29th, the Girls Golf team was crowned LVC champions after winning the Postseason tournament held at Pontiac CC. The Eagles were tied with South Lyon in the season standings heading into play on Monday but won an exciting back and forth battle by five shots with a team score of 345. The girls played well under pressure hitting clutch shots down the stretch. Freshman Abigail Ngo was the tournament medalist by four shots with an impressive 76, making her the individual conference champion. Senior Claire Linen placed 3rd overall with an 86, junior Cailyn Milewski placed 6th (89), and senior Anna Linen was 14th (94). Rounding out play for the Eagles were seniors Aubrin Miller (26th) and Leigh Schnell (41st).
Five Eagles earned All-Conference as a result of their LVC Pre and Post tournament results. Congratulations to Abigail Ngo, Anna Linen, Claire Linen, Cailyn Milewski and Aubrin Miller on their All-Conference honors.
The Eagles were also invited to play nine holes at the prestigious Oakland Hills CC. It was a memorable, fun afternoon on the course.
The team will celebrate its seven seniors later this week in a Senior Night match against Milford at Brentwood GC before heading to Regionals next week.
