Girls Varsity Golf finishes 23rd at North Farmington Invite; three freshmen make their varsity event debut

Friday, the Eagles had 4 golfers compete in the North Farmington Invite, an 18-hole varsity event held at Glen Oaks.
Lakeland finished 23rd with a team score of 490. Junior Gretchen Ullrich shot a 99 to lead the way. The neat thing about today's events was the varsity-event debut of three freshmen: Madeline Hannewald (122), Ava Zavinsky (131), and Sophia Saad (138). It's an important step for the future of the program to provide competitive opportunities for first-year golfers. Congrats to all 4 golfers for their efforts today.
